Nurse Wells and Student

Nurse Wells spoke with the R.H. Bearden gifted students concerning the importance of their health. She encouraged them to do their best to be healthy.   One of the topics she discussed was the extremely large number of heart attacks that people suffer daily. She explained the importance of exercising and healthy eating habits  as preventive measures.

Some of the students had never listened to their own heartbeat. She gave them the opportunity to experience listening to it.  Student Alysson  Chapple, who plans to become a nurse like her Mom, spoke with her fellow peers as well on healthy habits. She helped  third grade students listen to their heartbeats. Alysson followed each step given by Nurse Wells to sanitize the stethoscope before administering the process with each student.

Ms Pointer and the gifted students would like to thank Nurse Wells for the very informative experience.
