dr. ellington and gifted student

The QUEST Gifted Enrichment Program is currently doing research on voting and elections in  Mississippi.  Superintendent Dr. Ellington visited the class and joined in the discussion. She pointed out different words that are important to be familiar with when discussing elections. Some of the vocabulary building words were constituents, candidates,  Democrats,  Republicans and Independent Candidates.  She explained that the beliefs of each candidate are normally different.  Superintendent Dr. Ellington explained how visiting the Tallahatchie Court House would be a great learning experience and how the students could have the opportunity to see the voting process. The students enjoyed the learning moments with Superintendent Dr. Ellington and look forward to more.
