R. H. Bearden's Quest Enrichment Gifted Students recognize how important STEM is in our everyday lives. Dr. Fletcher Harges, Director of the North Delta Alternative School, brought his drone to share with the students. Dr. Harges explained how drones are used in the military in the form of airplanes. The students were given the opportunity to fly the drone with Dr. Harges's assistance. Dr. Harges also explained the effect that the nearby crop dusters could have on the height and distance the drone could be flown. The students were given the ability to see the top of the building as well. This was an exciting educational experience for all of us. We appreciate Dr. Harges for enhancing our STEM experience.
